Kirsten Antje Hoppert and Steffen Kroll

Cor Furniture and Studio Vertijet designers Kirsten Antje Holpert and Steffen Kroll give new meaning to the modern sofa.

The Lava is both a work-of-art and a sitting/reclining lounge with infinite possibilities. Cor is our ultimate design. Our philosophy involves master craftspeople’s eyes, top-quality materials, and great skill.

The “Lava sofa lounge” is furniture, sculpture, and landscape. It’s unusual in its use, but unique in its design.

The Yang

Each piece of furniture by French manufacturer Ligne Roset, which specializes in the most innovative collections of high quality furniture I’ve ever seen, has more than 100 years of history.

I’m certain that none of their original designs were as appealing as the “Yang”, sofas modern appearance and flexible shape.

The Yang actually consists of four sections identical to each other that form a well-rounded square. In this case, the sum is just as cool as the entire thing.

Jean Marie Massaud

This is the elegant combination of the “Aspen” sofa by Jean Marie Massaud, who teamed up with Cassina, an Italian modern furniture manufacturer.

Aspen is a mountain I picture rolling hills. The Aspen has the same theme. Also, notice the “ice skater” feet. Aspen’s opposing shapes allow for a single or two-seat Aspen, which can be purchased in 180cm and 260cm respectively.

Aspen is paired here with the Auklund ottoman and lounge chair in black leather, another Massaud/Cassina design.

Moon System by B&B Italia Designer Zaha Hadid

The final touch to a modern sofa look is Zaha Hadid, designer/architect.

Their “Moon System”, which is curved geometry in a unique way, is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It has a one-piece appearance that looks as though it was carved from one element.

The Moon Sofa is unique in that every angle has a different look than other seating systems. The ottoman can be integrated into the sofa’s shape, which I love.
