Disability Rocks at Nell Bank

The Festival.

Disability Rocks @ Nell Bank will be an eclectic mix of music, arts and interactive areas . We expect an attendance of 500-1000 people and there will be 2 stages, the main stage and an acoustic stage. There will also be a dance area, a cinema tent and workshops in music and art. Food and drinks will, of course, be available and people will be encouraged to bring a picnic.

The Location.

Nell Bank Outdoor Education Centre (www.nellbank.com) provides day and residential breaks for school children of all abilities from throughout the Bradford area. Its ethos is that of absolute inclusivity. It is a truly beautiful place in beautiful surroundings – the “Cow and Calf” rocks on the famous Ilkley Moor provide a back drop and the site is surrounded by the stunning Middleton Woods (local known as Bluebell Woods). We are very lucky to be able to use its award winning, state of the art facilities for the festival.

The Surrounds.

For those of you that don’t already know, Yorkshire is an amazingly diverse and wonderful county (Ok, I’m a little biased but should you visit, I’m sure you’ll be converted!). Ilkley is a small spa town with lots of eating, drinking and accommodation options and easy transport connections to Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There will be plenty of friendly locals available to act as tour guides. If you can come, plan to make a long weekend of it!

Thank you for your interest. We look forward to seeing you there.
